Outside Zone

The Outside Zone tag identifies every stretch-based run concept in Madden NFL, grouping 209 plays across 6 formations (including Singleback, Shotgun, Strong I, I Form, Pistol, and Weak I) and 139 sets like Gadget Package, Wing Pair, Ace Close, and Deebo Package where the offensive line flows laterally and the back reads the edge for a cutback lane. It covers pure calls like Outside Zone and HB Stretch alongside RPO and alert variants such as HB Stretch Alert Bubble, RPO Stretch Alert X Lookie, and play-action shots like PA FL Stretch and Dbl Mtn PA Stretch that punish linebackers who flow hard to the run. Competitive players use this tag to build a complete Shanahan-style wide zone package, pairing a base stretch with its bootleg and quick-throw alert counterparts so every run look carries a built-in answer to loaded boxes and aggressive user-controlled defenders.
