Overview

Tight Y Off Wk is a Shotgun 11 personnel set that puts the tight end in a tight off-ball alignment to the weak side, creating a condensed two-receiver surface on one side and an isolated receiver on the other. Unlike the wider Shotgun sets in the formation family, the tight Y alignment keeps your TE inside the numbers and off the line, which means he can release clean without getting jammed and can work either way across the formation. That off-ball position also makes the pre-snap read easier: if the defense walks a defender out over the Y, you are looking at man or a heavy weak rotation, and if he stays inside the box you can attack the flat and the seam behind him.

Against Cover 3 shells, Z Dagger, Hammer Dagger, and Smash Dagger are your best zone beaters because the clearout vertical drags the deep third defender off the dig window

On third and medium, motion the slot inside and hot route the tight Y to a quick out for a free leverage beater against man

Use Fk Cheat HB Stretch and Cheat Outside Zone early to establish the cheat motion, then come back to PA Fk Cheat Post Cross and PA Cheat Wheel Post off the identical look
