The concept pairs the HB corner with an outside vertical stem from the X or Z receiver and a shallow crosser underneath, giving you a high low read against man and a natural zone beater against split safety shells. The primary read progression starts with the deep outside route to see if the safety bites on the shuffle fake, then works down to the HB corner in the flat to intermediate window, and finishes with the underneath crosser as the checkdown against pressure.

Defensive Reads

Read the safety depth before the snap, if he is sitting at eight yards or shallower he is likely to jump the shuffle fake and vacate the corner route zone.
