Playbooks
Ravens Offense and its sibling cut NFL Live Ravens Offense are effectively the same book. They share all 588 of this playbook's plays and differ by zero sets, so there is no competitive reason to chase one over the other. Pick whichever appears in your audible list and know that everything below applies to both.
What makes Ravens Offense distinct from the rest of the game's 64 offensive team playbooks is the weight: 357 of its 588 plays come out of Shotgun across 23 sets, which is 61% of the book, and another 69 plays (12%) live in Pistol across 5 sets. That means roughly three quarters of your call sheet is a snap taken off the line of scrimmage with run and pass married in the same look. Singleback carries 80 plays (14%) across 7 sets, and the under center heavy stuff is deliberately narrow: 45 I Form plays (8%), 21 Strong I plays (4%), 13 Goal Line Offense plays, and 3 Hail Mary plays. Personnel runs from 01 spread sets all the way to 23 and 32 groupings with three running backs or three tight ends, so you can go from four wide to a jumbo wall without leaving the book.
The concept list tells you the game plan it supports: Power, Power Run, Counter, Toss, and Dive gap schemes paired with Play Action, Motion, Spot, Flat, and Cover 3 Beater passing. Sample calls like 26 Duo and 0 1 Trap out of the interior run game, Counter Weak from Strong I, 494 F Flat and 95 Mike in the drop back menu, FB Dive from Goal Line Offense, and Goal Post from Hail Mary show the range. This is a downhill gap run book that hides its passing behind play action and motion, best in the hands of someone who wants to snap from Shotgun and Pistol nearly every play while still threatening the A gap.
Ravens Offense wants a mobile quarterback who is comfortable reading run pass conflict from Shotgun and Pistol, because 73% of the book snaps from those two formations and the Play Action, Motion, and Counter concepts all assume the quarterback is a threat to keep it. You need a physical back who can run Power, Duo, Toss, and Dive behind big bodied interior blockers, plus at least two tight ends or a fullback with real blocking grades so the 23, 32, 22, and 13 personnel groups are not a liability. Pick this playbook if you like calling a downhill gap run game from spread alignments, using motion and pre snap shifts to force the defense to declare, and you are willing to accept a narrow under center and goal line menu in exchange for deep Shotgun set variety.
Search every playbook by tag and personnel grouping, not just Ravens Offense.
Build your primary audible package entirely inside Shotgun, choosing two or three of the 23 sets that share route trees so you can call Play Action off 26 Duo looks on second and medium and hot route the backside receiver without changing formation.
Keep one Pistol set in the audibles for first and ten and second and short, where Power Run and Counter action out of the stacked back alignment hides direction and sets up the Play Action tags later in the same drive.
Save Singleback for third down and long change ups: its 7 sets let you spread out from the same personnel and attack with Spot and Flat concepts when the defense has committed a linebacker to the run fit.
Use I Form and Strong I sparingly and with intent, ideally on second and short or when you want Counter Weak to punish an over rotated user safety, because only 66 combined plays live there and the look burns fast.
Inside the five, go straight to Goal Line Offense and FB Dive rather than forcing a Shotgun run, then use formation subs to get a 23 or 32 personnel group on the field so the fullback and extra tight end are actually blocking bodies.
