Overview

Eagles Offense and NFL Live Eagles Offense are functionally the same playbook. The two cuts share all 621 of this book's plays and differ by zero sets, so every formation, set and concept described here carries over directly to the NFL Live version. Pick either one based on your franchise or mode, not on content.

At 621 plays across 8 formations and 44 sets, Eagles Offense is larger than 95% of the game's 64 offensive team playbooks. Shotgun is the engine: 390 plays (63%) spread across 23 sets. Singleback (89 plays, 14%) and Pistol (69 plays, 11%) are the two secondary looks. I Form (42), Goal Line Offense (13), Strong I (9), Wildcat (6) and Hail Mary (3) handle the specialty snaps. The concept list leans on quick game and intermediate reads: Drag, Crosser, Flat, Slant, Hitch, Spot and Post. That makes Eagles Offense a strong choice for players who want a deep Shotgun menu with a legitimate short yardage and goal line toolkit behind it.

Scheme Fit

Eagles Offense wants an accurate short to intermediate passer who can live in Shotgun and read Crossers, Drags and Spot concepts quickly. Mobility helps on Pistol reads and Wildcat snaps. Behind that passer it needs a physical downhill back for Duo and Trap, a capable fullback for Blast and Dive calls, and at least two tight ends who can block and release, since the book leans on 12, 13, 22 and 23 personnel. Choose it if you play spread passing first but want a real short yardage and goal line identity without swapping books.

Strengths

Shotgun depth is elite: 390 plays over 23 sets means you can find the same Drag, Crosser, Slant or Spot concept from multiple alignments, so you can disguise tendencies while keeping your favorite man beaters and zone beaters in the audible package.
Wildcat access is rare, appearing in only 15 of 236 playbooks, so a 6 play direct snap package gives you a short yardage and red zone look most opponents have never had to prepare for.
Personnel range runs from 11 to 23 and 32 (three backs, two tight ends, zero receivers), letting you force defensive subs, then punish base defense with Play Action or goal line packages with Block and Release releases into the flat.
Pistol (69 plays) and Singleback (89 plays) give you roughly a quarter of the book as a balanced middle ground, ideal for RPO style reads and Duo runs like 26 Duo that keep the defense honest against a Shotgun heavy tendency.

Weaknesses

At 63% Shotgun, your formation tendency is obvious, and a savvy opponent will sit in nickel and dime personnel and nano blitz the gun looks until you prove you can run from under center.
Under center power football is thin: I Form has 42 plays across 3 sets and Strong I only 9 plays in 1 set, so a run heavy player will cycle through the same few Blast Rt and FB Dive looks quickly.
The Wildcat package is only 6 plays in a single set, which makes it a changeup, not a series, and opponents who see it twice can key on it.
No listed personnel group carries more than 3 receivers, so there is no 10 personnel or empty spread package to stretch a defense horizontally with four or five wide.
With 621 plays, the menu is easy to get lost in, and players who do not prune their audibles and formation subs will waste play clock and struggle to build consistent reads.

Usage Tips

Build your base audible package in Shotgun, pairing one Cover 3 Beater, one Drag or Crosser man beater and one quick Slant or Hitch concept, and use it on 1st and 10 and 2nd and medium when you need efficient yardage.

Call Pistol and Singleback on 1st down to show 26 Duo and 0 1 Trap early, then return to those exact sets for Play Action on 2nd and short once the linebackers start triggering downhill.

On 3rd and 1 or 4th and inches, sub into I Form or Strong I for Blast Rt or FB Dive, and save Goal Line Offense (13 plays) for inside the 3 yard line, where Block and Release tight ends punish defenders who crash the run.

Keep the Wildcat set as a once or twice per game red zone or 3rd and short surprise, ideally after a heavy personnel look has pulled the defense into goal line, so the direct snap catches them out of their normal gaps.

Use Motion from 12 and 21 personnel to diagnose man versus zone pre snap, then hot route a Flat or Spot to the side the defender follows or vacates.
