Overview
Wing Stack Wk is a 12 personnel Shotgun set that pairs a wing tight end next to the tackle with a stacked receiver pair to the weak side, giving you a condensed run surface on one side and a two man route stack on the other. Unlike spread 11 personnel Shotgun sets that split everyone out, this alignment keeps a second tight end attached as an extra gap blocker, which is why the run tree (Inside Zone, Same Side Zone, HB Power, Mtn Inside Zone, Mtn Outside Zone, RPO Read Cntr, RPO Counter Read) hits with real numbers at the point of attack instead of relying on pulling linemen alone. The weak side stack is the money alignment: press man corners cannot line up over both stacked receivers, so you get free releases and automatic rub action without ever touching a hot route.
The RPO menu is what separates this set from the rest of the formation. RPO Zone Peek, RPO Peek Slant, RPO Read Slant Bubble, RPO Read Bubble, RPO Alert Bubble, RPO Power Alert Bubble, and RPO Zone Alert Bubble all let you keep the run blocking intact while attaching a quick throw to the stack, which punishes defenses that crowd the box to stop 12 personnel runs. Against single high shells you are reading the slot defender, and against two high you are reading the box count and handing off. The bubble alerts turn every run call into a pre-snap decision rather than a guess.
The pass concepts lean on the condensed formation to build natural traffic. Mtn Spot, Stick, and Exit Spot Replace attack flat defenders and man coverage underneath, while Mtn Dagger, Four Verticals, Mtn PA Verticals, and Exit All Go take shots off the run tendency you have already established. Exit Double Screen and HB Slip Screen punish aggressive edge pressure, and PA Slide with Mtn PA Flood give you play action rollouts that get the quarterback away from interior heat. Because the second tight end is attached and the stack is tight to the numbers, defenses that check to heavy box fronts leave the weak side flat and seam completely unaccounted for.

Weaknesses
- Condensed alignment means fewer defenders removed from the box, so A gap and interior nano blitzes arrive fast with no wide splits to widen the rush lanes
- Only one true outside receiver to the strong side, which limits your ability to isolate a speed mismatch on an island against single high looks
- Tight end heavy personnel invites the defense to check to base or big personnel, and slower route runners on the outside get bracketed with minimal consequence
- A user controlled defender sitting over the stack can read and undercut bubble and slant RPO throws, turning your alert into a pick six
- Deep concepts like Exit All Go and Four Verticals need clean protection with only five blockers plus a chipping tight end, so quarters and two man look shells stall the play quickly
- Run heavy play art makes your tendencies readable, and opponents who track your RPO usage will simply set the edge and force the handoff
Usage Tips
Count the box pre snap on every RPO call: six or fewer in the box means hand it off, seven or more means alert the bubble or peek the slant to the stack
Motion the outside stacked receiver to identify man or zone, then run RPO Peek Slant against man and Mtn Spot or Stick against zone rotation
On second and medium, mix HB Power and Same Side Zone with Mtn PA Verticals off the same look so your play action rollouts sell the run identically
Hot route the inside stacked receiver on a corner or a fade when the defense drops the slot defender into a soft flat, since the stack gives you a clean release with no press contact
Call Exit Double Screen or HB Slip Screen the drive after you see repeated single high pressure, and user catch the back in the open field for maximum yardage
In the red zone go to Mtn Spot and Exit Spot Replace, where the condensed alignment compresses zone windows and the spot route sits down in traffic
