Pistol Bunch TE puts the quarterback four yards deep with the back stacked directly behind him, then clusters a tight end and two receivers into a bunch to one side with a single split receiver isolated on the backside. Unlike the balanced or spread sets in Pistol, this alignment forces the defense to declare its intentions before the snap: either roll strength to the bunch and leave the backside receiver on an island, or play it honest and let three bodies release into the same quarter of the field. The 11 personnel grouping keeps a legitimate run blocker attached to the bunch while still giving you three-receiver spacing, so you are not telegraphing run or pass based on who is on the field.
Open with the run game (HB Zone, HB Counter, Strong Power) to establish the pistol look, then punish downhill linebackers with PA Curls and Jet Touch Pass Fk HB off the same key
On third and medium, run Spot Option or Stick and read the flat defender first: if he widens with the bunch, the spot sitter is open in the void between hook and curl
Against single high with no bunch bracket, work the isolated receiver on the backside and hot route the bunch to blocks or drags to clear the middle
Motion a bunch receiver across pre-snap to diagnose man versus zone, then commit to Cross Drag against man or Flood against zone
Use Speed Option and Fk Jet Inside Zone in short yardage when the defense stacks the box, since the pistol depth lets you get to the edge before the user defender flips his hips
