Return Route

The Return Route tag identifies plays where at least one receiver runs a return concept: he stems and breaks one direction, then snaps back the opposite way to separate from a defender who has committed to the first break. The tag covers 143 plays across 101 sets and 6 formations, from Four Verticals and Y Trail looks out of Shotgun to Mtn Dig Go's and Stick N Nod out of Singleback, Pistol, and I Form groupings. Competitive players can use it to filter for man beaters that punish outside leverage and aggressive trail technique, then build hot route packages around the return option when the user-controlled defender jumps the initial cut.
