Use motion to identify man versus zone before the snap, if the defender follows across the formation you know you are getting man coverage and should prioritize the zig route as your man beater.

Hot route the backside receiver into a shallow drag or hold him in as an extra blocker if you are getting consistent edge pressure off play action.

Call this on early downs like first or second and medium to keep the defense honest against the run action, then pair it later in a series with HB Inside Zone or HB Stretch out of the same set to sell the same backfield look.

Combine with Mtn Deep Flood in your play calling script so the defense cannot sit on the intermediate zig read once they have seen this play on tape.
