Overview
The NFL Live Eagles Offense is functionally identical to its sibling cut, Eagles Offense. The two books share all 621 plays and differ by zero sets, so the choice between them is a labeling preference rather than a strategic one. Whichever you load, you get the same 8 formations, the same 44 sets and the same play sheet, so pick based on which entry you find faster in the playbook menu and spend your prep time building audibles instead of comparing the two.
What you actually get is one of the biggest offensive team books in Madden, larger than 95% of the game's 64 offensive team playbooks, and it is overwhelmingly a Shotgun book. 390 plays (63%) live in Shotgun across 23 sets, which is more Shotgun sets than most books carry formations. Singleback adds 89 plays (14%) across 6 sets and Pistol adds another 69 plays (11%) across 6 sets, so roughly 88% of this playbook is snapped from depth. I Form (42 plays, 7%), Goal Line Offense (13 plays), Strong I (9 plays) and Wildcat (6 plays) fill in the heavy and short-yardage work, with 3 Hail Mary plays for end-of-half desperation.
The game plan this supports is a spread-first, tempo-driven attack that still owns a real downhill identity. Personnel ranges from 11 all the way up to 23, 32, 22 and 13, so you can line up in three-receiver Shotgun sets and then substitute into two and three tight end groupings without leaving the book. Concepts on the sheet cover Play Action, Spot, Flat, Motion and Cover 3 Beater work through the air alongside Power, Power Run, Counter, Toss and Dive on the ground, with plays like 26 Duo, 0 1 Trap, Bench, Blast Rt, FB Dive and Goal Post showing the range. The Wildcat inclusion matters: it appears in only 15 of the game's 236 playbooks, so almost nobody has seen it defended live.
Scheme Fit
This book wants a quarterback who is comfortable operating from Shotgun and Pistol depth with enough mobility to make the Power Run, Counter and RPO-style pressure reads honest, paired with a back who can handle Duo, Trap and Toss carries and still release into Flat routes. You also need at least two tight ends with real blocking grades and a fullback on the roster, because I Form, Strong I and Goal Line Offense are where your short-yardage conversions come from, and the 13 and 23 personnel groupings are dead weight without them. Pick the NFL Live Eagles Offense if you enjoy living in spread sets, want 23 Shotgun sets worth of disguise, and are disciplined enough to trim a 621-play sheet down to a tight audible package rather than menu-surfing.

Strengths
- 23 Shotgun sets across 390 plays means you can run the same route concepts from completely different alignments, so an opponent who diagnoses your Spot or Flat combo out of one set has to re-learn it from four more before they can sit on it.
- Pistol's 69 plays across 6 sets give you a middle gear most spread-heavy books do not have: downhill Power Run, Counter and Toss looks with the quarterback still deep enough to read the field, which keeps your run and pass tells identical.
- Personnel groupings from 11 up through 23, 32, 22 and 13 let you build formation subs that put extra tight ends and a second back on the field without ever calling a huddle-breaking substitution, so Shotgun spread and I Form heavy can share one audible page.
- The 6-play Wildcat package is in only 15 of the game's 236 playbooks, so most opponents have no practiced pre-snap adjustment for it and will burn a timeout or guess wrong on the direct snap.
- Goal Line Offense (13 plays) plus Strong I and I Form FB Dive and Blast Rt gives you real short-yardage closers, which means your 63% Shotgun identity does not force you into a fade route on every third and one.
Weaknesses
- Nearly two thirds of the book is Shotgun, so a defense that simply plays its nickel and dime shells and users a safety over the top is correctly guessing your formation on most snaps without any read at all.
- Only 9 Strong I plays and 42 I Form plays across 3 sets means your true under-center power menu is shallow, and once an opponent sees your two or three go-to heavy calls there is nothing left to rotate to.
- With 88% of the sheet snapped from Shotgun, Pistol or Singleback, you get very little play-action credibility off genuine under-center run action, which blunts the Play Action concepts against users who never bite on deep drops.
- Wildcat is only 6 plays, so its surprise value is a one or two call per game weapon, not a package you can lean on once the opponent adjusts the box.
- 621 plays across 44 sets is a lot of menu to navigate, and players who do not trim a tight audible list will lose clock hunting for calls instead of reading the defense pre-snap.
Usage Tips
Build your base audible page entirely out of three or four Shotgun sets, since 390 plays and 23 sets is far more than you can carry, and make sure the page covers a Spot concept, a Flat concept and a Cover 3 Beater so you have an answer for every shell on first and second down.
Use Pistol on second and short to second and medium: the 6 sets give you Counter, Toss and Power Run looks that read as pass out of depth, and the 26 Duo style interior run punishes defenses that widened for your spread sets.
Keep Singleback (89 plays, 6 sets) as your play-action and motion page on early downs, then sub tighter personnel and let the Motion concepts shift receivers pre-snap to confirm man or zone before the snap.
Reserve I Form, Strong I and Goal Line Offense for third and one, fourth and one and inside the five: FB Dive and Blast Rt are the calls, and the 13 Goal Line plays are worth a dedicated audible slot in the red zone.
Save the 6 Wildcat plays for one high-leverage short-yardage or two-minute snap per game, and never run it twice in a row from the same look since the package is too small to survive a committed adjustment.
