The game plan it supports is a tempo friendly spread attack that can shift into heavy personnel at will. The personnel list runs from 11 all the way to 23 and 32, with 0 WR groupings available, and short yardage is covered by Goal Line Offense (13 plays), Strong I (9 plays) and a Wildcat set with 6 plays including Blast Rt. Wildcat shows up in only 15 of the game's 236 playbooks. Scheme Fit

Strengths

Shotgun depth is elite: 390 plays across 23 sets means you can run the same Slant, Spot or Drag concept from multiple alignments, keeping opponents from keying on formation alone before the snap.
A real Pistol package (69 plays, 6 sets) lets you mirror Shotgun passing looks while keeping a downhill run threat like Bench, which makes play action and hot route adjustments from the same look much harder to read.

Weaknesses

At 63% Shotgun, a savvy opponent can sit in nickel or dime and play the pass on most snaps, knowing the under center run looks represent a small share of the book.
The personnel list tops out at three receivers (11 personnel), with no four or five wide groups listed, so you cannot flood the field with receivers or get empty spread matchups the way pass heavy books can.
Strong I (9 plays, 1 set) and Wildcat (6 plays, 1 set) are thin, so once an opponent sees those formations they can guess the concept and load the box accordingly.
I Form is limited to 42 plays in 3 sets, which caps how much play action variety you have from true two back looks, making heavy run tendencies easier to spot over a long franchise game.
Hail Mary is only 3 plays across 2 sets, so end of half desperation options are basic and predictable.

Usage Tips

Build your base audible package inside Shotgun, pairing a quick game Slant or Hitch call with a Drag or Crosser concept, and a Post concept tagged as a Cover 3 Beater for 1st and 10 and 2nd and medium.

On 3rd and short or 4th and 1, sub into Goal Line Offense or Strong I and hand off, using calls like 26 Duo or FB Dive, then flip to Play Action from the same personnel once the defense crowds the box.

Use Pistol on 2nd and short to 2nd and medium, where a downhill run like Bench and play action from the identical look force linebackers to guess.

Save the Wildcat set and Blast Rt for red zone snaps inside the 5 or a single surprise short yardage call per half, since its 6 play menu gets scouted quickly if overused.

On early downs, motion out of Singleback into your 12 or 13 personnel looks to read man versus zone before the snap, then audible to a Flat or Spot beater if you see the defender travel with motion.
