Defensive Reads

Watch linebacker depth and alignment pre-snap, stacked or crashing linebackers signal a run blitz that this play can be vulnerable to if you do not have a backside cutback answer. Check the box count pre-snap, if the defense has six or more in the box, consider audibling to a perimeter run or checking to a quick pass instead.

Use manual controlled HB vision to read the double team block at the point of attack and patiently press the hole before making your cut, do not rush the decision.

Sequence this with RPO Zone Peek or RPO Alert Orbit Swing later in a series so the defense has to respect the run fake and slow their linebacker triggers.
