Defensive Reads

If you see single high safety or Cover 3 rotation, hotroute the flat route into a shallow drag or use it as an immediate checkdown while the deep in and corner route stretch the zone vertically.

Use this on early down and medium to long yardage situations where defenses expect run based on personnel and previous play calls in the sequence.

Motion the slot receiver pre-snap to confirm man versus zone coverage, since a defender following the motion signals man coverage and opens up the corner route against a trailing defensive back.
