PA Boot Comeback runs a play-action bootleg off Singleback Doubles that pulls the QB to the right edge while the route concept works comebacks and outs behind him. The backside receivers run a deep comeback and a corner style out from the numbers, the slot runs a delayed out that drifts toward the flat, and the boot side receiver stems vertical before snapping back on a hard comeback right at the sticks, giving the QB a built in high low read as he rolls out. This is a play-action man beater designed to hold the backside defenders with the run fake while the QB works his primary read on the comeback route breaking back to the sideline, with the flat route underneath as the checkdown against aggressive man coverage.

Defensive Reads
