Read the flat route first as your check down against a hard blitz, then progress to the crosser sitting in the zone hole against Cover 3 or Cover 4

Against man coverage, trust the crosser to create natural separation off the rub from the two vertical releases stacked to the closed side

Pair this call with Four Verticals or Streaks earlier in a series so the defense respects the deep shots, opening up the crosser underneath on repeat looks

Motion or shift the closed side receivers pre-snap to confirm man versus zone before the snap, since the crosser needs a soft underneath window to be effective
