Usage Tips

Look for two high safeties pre-snap since this play is designed to attack Cover 2 by settling the dig route in the hole between the flat defender and the deep half safety.

Identify Cover 3 by checking if the corners are aligned deep and outside, then trust the vertical route to clear the cornerback so the dig can sit in the vacated middle zone.

Motion the flat route receiver pre-snap to check if the defense shifts into man coverage, which tells you to switch your primary read to the corner route on the backside instead of the dig.

Hot route the drag route into a quick out or spot route on third and short to give yourself a faster underneath option against aggressive zone drops.
