Defensive Reads

Pre-snap, check safety depth and alignment to determine if the defense is showing two high or rotating to a single high shell after the snap. Watch linebacker depth at the snap since shallow zone drops from Cover 3 or Tampa 2 can undercut the shallow drag and force the quarterback to hold the ball longer. This concept is vulnerable to a user controlled lurk defender sitting in the shallow zone or spying the drag route, so be ready to climb the progression to the deep dig quickly.
