Defensive Reads

Pre-snap, identify if the defense is in a base 4-3 or 3-4 front with two off linebackers, this is the ideal look to attack since the A gap will have fewer bodies. This play hits fastest of any run in the set, so it punishes defenses that are slow to fill gaps or that bite on outside zone tendencies from earlier in the drive. Pair HB Dive with HB Ace Power and HB Counter Wk to keep linebackers guessing between a quick interior hit and a slower developing gap scheme. Mix in PA Boot or PA Ctr Waggle after running Dive a few times to hold linebackers in run fits and open up the boot action off the same formation. Avoid calling this against heavy blitz looks with safeties creeping into the box since there is no adjustment to bail out of a bad box count.
