Watch for a user controlled defender spying the mesh point or crashing down hard off the edge, which signals a defender selling out to stop the zone run rather than staying disciplined in coverage. This play struggles against gap or man front blitzes that shoot penetration into the backfield before blockers can climb to the second level, so avoid calling it into obvious run blitz personnel.
