RPO Zone Alert Glance pairs an inside zone run with a glance route from the slot, giving the quarterback a true run pass option based on the second level defenders. The blocking scheme is a standard zone track up front while the alert tag lets the quarterback pull and throw the glance if a linebacker or nickel defender crashes down on the run action. Use this play on early downs like first and ten or second and short to keep the defense honest and force them to respect both the run fit and the glance window

Hot route the outside receiver into a quick out or slant if you consistently see cornerbacks bailing into deep zone, this gives you a second answer versus off man or soft zone
