Defensive Reads

Check the safety alignment pre-snap, if you see a single high safety cheat toward the post side you can trust the deep shot early in the progression.

Pair PA Read with Inside Zone or HB Off Tackle earlier in a drive so the defense keys run action, then punish overaggressive linebackers with this shot play.

If the defense shows two deep safeties, hot route the flat route to a deeper crossing route or check down quickly to the drag since the post will be capped.
