Usage Tips

Use pre-snap motion to identify man versus zone by watching if a defender follows the H back across the formation

If the defense shows man coverage, hot route the option route to a quick out or slant to win with immediate separation

Against zone coverage, trust the option route to settle into the soft spot and take the easy completion underneath

This play works best on third and short to third and medium since the option route and drag give the quarterback a high floor conversion option

Pair this play with Mtn HB Swing or RPO Peek Slant earlier in a series to condition the defense to bite on shorter routes before hitting the vertical shots off the same look

Use the vertical clear outs to set up Four Verticals or PA Comebacks later in the drive once safeties start creeping down
