If you see a Cover 3 or Cover 4 shell with linebackers sitting deep, check the flat route immediately since the underneath window will be tight against zone drops.

Pair this with HB Counter or Inside Zone earlier in a series so the play fake actually freezes second level defenders instead of getting sniffed out.

Against man coverage, look to the crosser working away from motion since it naturally picks up separation off the traffic near the line.
