Usage Tips

Check the defensive alignment before the snap and look for two high safeties, since that shell invites the go and corner combo to open up the under route underneath. Use motion or a hot route to adjust the flat route into a quicker option against blitz-heavy fronts that show five or six defenders near the line. Against man coverage, prioritize the under route crossing away from traffic since it creates natural separation off the corner and go clearing out the middle of the field. Pair this play with Empty Y Cross or Verticals in the same set to keep defenses guessing between crossing routes and vertical shots from the same empty look. This play works best on early downs or second and medium when you want a easy completion underneath while keeping deep shot potential alive if the defense sells out on the short routes.
