RPO Alert Omaha is a run pass option out of Trey Y-Flex that pairs an inside zone handoff read with a run pass option shot. To the boundary the outside receiver runs a vertical seam while the slot receiver clears with a shallow out, and on the trips side the inside receiver runs a quick vertical read against the second level. The tight end on the strong side breaks outside then upfield on a corner style route, giving the quarterback a run key on the linebacker fill combined with a shot route if the defense sells out to stop the zone run. Primary read progression starts with the box count and linebacker fit for the give, then bounces to the tight end's corner breaking route as the alert throw if the defense crashes down on the run action.

Usage Tips
Check the box count before the snap and let the alert corner route dictate whether you pull the ball or hand it off based on second level defender leverage
Use this on early downs like 1st and 10 or 2nd and short since the run action stays credible and forces linebackers to respect the zone fit
If the defense shows a two high shell with soft corners, take the give and trust your zone blocking up front rather than forcing the RPO throw
Pair this with Inside Zone and Outside Zone from the same personnel group to keep defenses honest on run fits before dialing up the RPO shot for a big gain
