Slot Post out of Shotgun Trey Y-Flex is a man beater built around the slot receiver running a hard post to attack the middle of the field, with the Y-Flex tight end and outside receivers providing complementary routes to hold defenders and clear space. The trips side creates natural traffic for zone defenders while the post route exploits any leverage advantage against man coverage, especially from nickel or slot corners without safety help over the top. Your primary read starts with the slot post working to the middle of the field, then progresses to the underneath crossers or flat routes if the post is capped by a deep safety.
