Post-snap, key the strong side safety rotation, if he rotates down to help on the corner route the underneath spot and flat combo will be wide open. This play struggles against aggressive man blitzes where a nano blitz defender jumps the flat route immediately, so have a hot route ready to convert the flat into a quick out if you see blitz indicators pre-snap. Cover 4 or Cover 2 shells with a hard flat defender sitting on the route can clog the underneath progression, forcing you to rely on the backside corner as the primary answer.
