PA Power O out of the I Form Wing set sells the Power O run action to the play side before the QB pulls and works the pass concept. Off the fake, the backside X runs a deep corner route up the numbers, the wing/TE releases vertically up the seam, and a third receiver runs a shallow crosser under both of them from the play side to the backside flat, giving you three distinct route levels off one play-action look. This is a man beater on the deep corner and seam against tight coverage, while the crossing route underneath is your zone beater versus sinking linebackers, with the primary read progression going deep corner first, then the vertical seam, and finally the underneath crosser as the checkdown against pressure.
Watch linebacker depth pre-snap: linebackers stacked tight to the line are prime candidates to bite on the run fake, opening throwing lanes for the seam and crosser. Identify single high versus two high safety shells before the snap, since single high leaves the corner route in a favorable matchup while two high forces you to the underneath crosser. Post-snap, key the flow of the linebackers on the play-action fake, if they sprint downhill to fit the run, both the seam and crosser will have running room. Beware of a user-controlled defender sitting in a lurk spot over the crossing route, this is the primary defender who can jump the underneath read and blow up the checkdown. This play struggles against disciplined zone drops or a defense that stays home in Cover 4 or Cover 6 with corners playing bail technique, since the deep corner route loses its window and the seam gets squeezed.
Run this on early downs (1st and 10, 2nd and short) when you have already established the Power O run game so the linebackers bite on the fake.
Check the safety alignment pre-snap: a single high safety means the corner route has a one-on-one shot outside, so peek that first read immediately off the play-action.
If you see two safeties deep (Cover 2 or Cover 4 shells), work the underneath crosser since it will settle into the void vacated by run-fitting linebackers.
Hot route the vertical seam runner into a deeper post if you are facing Cover 3 with a single deep defender struggling to cover both the corner and seam.
Sequence this with HB Power O and Mtn Power O earlier in the drive so the defense keys run fits, then hit this shot play once the linebackers start crashing downhill on run action.
