Overview

NFL Live Patriots Offense is, for practical purposes, the same playbook as Patriots Offense. All 615 of its plays are shared with that sibling cut and there are zero set differences, so choosing one over the other changes nothing about your formations, audibles or play calls. Treat any guide, custom audible package or install plan built for Patriots Offense as fully transferable here. At 615 plays across 8 formations and 45 sets, it is larger than 89% of the game's 64 offensive team playbooks, which gives you enough depth to disguise tendencies over a full franchise season.

The book is a Shotgun-first attack. Shotgun accounts for 386 plays (63%) spread across 24 sets, more than half of all the sets in the book, so most of your passing game and a good chunk of your run game will come from the gun. The pass concepts listed lean on quick, rhythm-based reads: Drag, Crosser, Flat, Hitch, Slant and Spot, plus Post shots and dedicated Cover 3 Beater looks. Motion and Block and Release tags show up across the book, letting you pull a tight end or back into protection before releasing him into the flat as a checkdown.

Behind the gun sits a real under-center identity. Singleback (105 plays, 17%) and I Form (63 plays, 10%) carry the downhill run game and play action, with Strong I, Weak I and Goal Line Offense rounding out the power package. Plays like 26 Duo, Counter F, Counter Weak (1), 0 1 Trap and FB Dive signal a gap and duo run scheme you can pair with Play Action off the same looks. With eight personnel groups ranging from 11 to 32 and 23, this book supports a game plan that spreads you out on passing downs and then squeezes into heavy tight end and fullback sets to wear down light boxes.

Scheme Fit

NFL Live Patriots Offense fits a pocket-oriented quarterback with strong short-accuracy and quick-release ratings, backed by precise route-running receivers who win on slants, drags and crossers. You also want a sturdy offensive line, a physical fullback and at least two tight ends who can block and release, because the heavy I Form, Strong I and Goal Line packages demand big-bodied blockers. Pick it if you like to play a methodical, tendency-breaking game that marches the field with quick passes and power runs rather than one built around quarterback scrambles or Pistol option.

Strengths

  • Shotgun depth is elite: 24 sets and 386 plays means you can run the same Drag, Slant and Spot concepts from multiple alignments, making it very hard for an opponent to key your quick game by formation alone.
  • The under-center package (Singleback, I Form, Strong I, Weak I, Goal Line) totals roughly a third of the book, giving you a legitimate duo, counter and trap run game with Play Action built off the same looks instead of a token run menu.
  • Eight personnel groups, including heavy 23, 32 and 13 alongside 11 and 20, let you force defensive substitutions and punish opponents who leave nickel on the field against heavy sets or base personnel against spread looks.
  • Dedicated Cover 3 Beater concepts plus Post, Crosser and Drag combos give you ready-made zone answers, so you spend fewer pre-snap hot routes rebuilding plays against the most common base coverage.
  • The 615-play size, larger than 89% of offensive team playbooks, lets you build a deep custom audible package and still keep untouched constraint plays in reserve for later in games.

Weaknesses

  • Pistol is thin at 24 plays across 2 sets, so players who want a true Pistol read-option or zone-read identity will run out of variety fast and become predictable.
  • The Shotgun lean (63%) means an opponent tracking your formation tendencies can sit in pass-first defensive calls whenever you line up in the gun, forcing you to prove you will run from it.
  • Weak I is a single set with only 6 plays and Strong I has just 15, so offset fullback looks are easy to scout and can telegraph the direction of your counter and duo runs.
  • Goal Line Offense has only 13 plays across 2 sets, limiting your short-yardage and red zone heavy looks and making it easier for a defense to load up and user the gap on 4th and inches.
  • The concept list is built around short and intermediate throws (Hitch, Slant, Flat, Spot, Drag), so creating vertical explosives beyond Post shots relies heavily on your own hot routes and play-action timing.

Usage Tips

Build your base audible package from Shotgun sets: keep a Slant or Hitch quick game, a Spot or Flat combo for zone, a Drag and Crosser man beater, and a Cover 3 Beater call so you can check into the right answer on 1st and 10 or 2nd and medium.

On 1st and 10 against base or nickel, line up in Singleback and alternate 26 Duo with Play Action off the same set; once the linebackers start filling downhill, the Post and Crosser shots open behind them.

In short-yardage situations (3rd or 4th and 1 to 2), reach for I Form or Strong I and call Counter F, FB Dive or 0 1 Trap, using Motion to shift the fullback and change the point of attack pre-snap.

Inside the 5, go to Goal Line Offense with heavy 23 or 32 personnel for Counter Weak (1), then mix in a Block and Release tag on the tight end so the defense cannot pin its ears back on every snap.

On 3rd and 5 or longer, stay in the gun and use Block and Release or a motion to keep a back or tight end in protection until the rush is picked up, then let him leak into the flat as your hot checkdown against blitz.
