Usage Tips

Use this on early downs like first or second and short to mid distance so the play-action fake actually influences the linebackers and safeties. Check the safety alignment pre-snap, if you see two high safeties sitting deep with soft leverage, the double post concept can split them by attacking the seam between them. If the corners are playing tight man on the outside post runners, hot route the flat route receiver into a quick out or speed out to give yourself a faster underneath answer. Pair this play with Four Verticals or Mtn Curl N Go in the same set so defenses cannot sit on the post concept without getting burned by a different vertical shot. Against aggressive blitz looks, lean on the play fake to slow down the pass rush and buy just enough time for the posts to develop, but be ready to use your hot route to the flat as a checkdown if the protection breaks down.
