Mtn Slot Under is a bunch based passing concept out of Shotgun Bunch Spread Nasty that uses pre-snap motion to help identify man versus zone before the ball is even snapped. Off the bunch, the outside receiver runs a deep vertical to stretch the safety, the inline receiver breaks off a corner route working outside, and the third bunch receiver runs an under route sitting flat across the middle at the sticks. The backside receiver runs a shallow drag underneath while the RB releases into a flat route, giving the QB a high low read on the underneath defenders while the corner and vertical occupy the deep coverage. This is a man beater at its core, using the under and shallow crossers to create natural rubs and separation, with the primary read progression starting on the slot under route, then working to the corner route if the flat defender sinks, and checking down to the flat/shallow combo versus tight man coverage.
