Usage Tips
Use pre-snap motion across the formation to bait linebackers and safeties into run fits before the ball is snapped, since the jet action is the core of this play's deception. Call this on early downs like first or second and short when the defense is geared up to stop the run based on personnel and previous tendencies. Watch for safeties creeping into the box pre-snap, since that confirms they are respecting the run fake and opens up the corner route over the top. Pair this play with Jet Sweep and PA Jet Sweep earlier in a drive so the defense has real film on the motion actually going somewhere, making the fake version hit harder later. If the corner route is not open due to a deep half safety staying home, look to bail out through a checkdown or throwaway since the diagram shows no underneath option, so know your dump off rules before the snap.
