Slot Corner out of Shotgun Trips (10 personnel) sends the two outside trips receivers vertical on go routes to clear out the deep half, while the inner slot receiver runs a corner route into the void behind the sticks. The single receiver on the backside runs a lone go route to hold the backside safety and corner. The HB releases out of the backfield on a check release swing/flat route underneath, giving the quarterback a built in outlet if the corner route is capped. Defensive Reads

Use this play on 2nd and medium to 3rd and long situations where the defense is more likely to play off coverage, since the corner route needs a few extra ticks to develop.
