RNS Georgia Mesh out of Shotgun Trips runs a classic mesh concept from the trips side, with the two inside receivers crossing at a shallow depth to create natural traffic for man defenders while a third route sits underneath. The backside X runs a vertical release straight up the seam, giving you a clear conflict shot on cover 2 or cover 3 shells if the underneath crossers are jumped. This is a man beater first and foremost, with the primary read progression starting on the mesh crossers working from inside out, then climbing to the seam vertical if the middle of the field opens up.

Defensive Reads

Watch for man coverage indicators presnap such as corners lined up tight on the trips receivers, since mesh crossers will create natural picks that man defenders struggle to fight through. If the defense shows a single high safety look, expect the seam vertical route to be in conflict with underneath crossers, so key the safety's leverage before throwing deep. Zone defenses with linebackers sitting at the mesh depth can jump the crossers, so look for those linebacker drops before committing to the shallow read.
