Defensive Reads

Key the middle linebacker and any second level defender responsible for the jet motion, if they take the run fake and flow laterally, the seam route behind them is the immediate answer. Pre-snap, identify single high versus two high safety shells, single high with the safety creeping toward the box is the green light to throw the seam with confidence. Watch for a robber or lurk defender sitting in the middle of the field, since a user controlled safety or backer sitting in that seam window can jump the route and bait a turnover.
