RZ Short Posts is a man beater built for the tight red zone window, using Trey Open Offset out of Shotgun to stack three receivers to the strong side while keeping the offset back available for a check down or leak route. The dual posts from the trey side sit down inside the numbers to squeeze safeties and pick on grabby corners in man coverage, with the third receiver working an underneath crossing or flat route to occupy linebackers. Primary read progression starts with the inside post breaking to the middle of the field, then works to the outside post if a safety rotates over the top, and finally checks down to the offset back or shallow route if both posts are blanketed.

Defensive Reads

If the corner presses the inside post receiver, hot route him to a quick out or slant to beat the jam before the double team collapses the throwing window

Pair this call with Redzone Post Fade or Y Corner in the same set so the defense has to respect both post and corner breaking routes from identical formation looks
