Defensive Reads

Usage Tips

Check the safety alignment before the snap, if you see two high safeties the corner route has room to work outside before the safety can rotate over so start your eyes there first.

Sell the run fake fully with the play-action animation, holding the ball long enough freezes linebackers just long enough for the dig route to sit in the throwing window behind them.

If the defense shows single high or man press on the outside receiver, hot route the flat runner into a quick option or check him down early since the corner route will be tightly covered.

Use this on second and medium or third and long situations where defenses are more likely to play zone shells, since the dig and corner combo punishes cushion coverage and soft zone drops.
