Motion check pre-snap: if the offense sends a receiver across the formation and the defense does not rotate, you are likely getting man coverage instead, so be ready to audible into Cover 1 Hole or Cover 2 Man. Hot route the invert side flat defender to sit a step wider if you see stick or flat concepts targeting the boundary, since the inverted alignment can be slow to react to quick outs. Pair this call with Cover 6 Show 2 in your play-calling sequence to disguise the safety rotation, since both look identical pre-snap but roll differently after the snap, keeping opposing quarterbacks guessing on the field versus boundary read. Avoid calling this against heavy run personnel since the light Big Dime front is a run beater and can get gashed by inside zone or power concepts.
