Pre-snap, identify if the defense is showing two high safeties or single high, because a two high shell tells you the stick and flat combo underneath will have room before the safeties can rotate down.

Hot route the backside X into a quick slant or drag if you see man coverage with no help over the top, this gives you an instant answer against blitz looks.

Pair this play with PA Comeback N Go or PA Y Corner from the same set so the defense has to respect the deep shots off similar formation and personnel, keeping linebackers honest against the stick concept.

Against zone heavy defenses, throw the stick route immediately off the snap into the vacated hook zone before the flowing linebacker can undercut it, and use the flat route as your answer versus underneath robbers.
