Against man coverage, the slant to out combo creates natural rub action, so throw the slant with anticipation since the out defender is picked at the top.

Hot route the backside TE into a shallow drag if you are facing heavy zone shells, giving the QB a checkdown when both the peek defender and slant window are taken away.
