Attack defenses that show light boxes or bring an extra run blitzer up front since the option naturally punishes overaggressive edge defenders.

Check the alignment of the play side end or OLB before the snap, if he is crashing hard on run plays in previous snaps he is a good target for the pitch read.

Use manual control on the QB after the snap so you can properly option the edge defender instead of letting the CPU logic auto-decide the pitch.

Pair this with Read Option and Inverted Veer from the same set so the defense cannot key on a single option look, forcing linebackers to hesitate on run fits.

Best called on early downs or short yardage situations where a hard crash defense wants to sell out against inside runs, letting the pitch exploit the alley.
