Wing Flex Offset Wk is the RPO hub of the Shotgun family, and it plays nothing like the standard Wing Flex sets. The "Offset Wk" tag tells you the back is shifted to the weak side of the formation, which flips the run fits and gives you a clean read side for every peek concept in the set. You get 12 personnel with one tight end attached as the wing next to the tackle and the second tight end flexed out, so the defense has to declare whether it is treating the flexed man as a receiver (nickel personnel, favorable run box) or as a blocker (base personnel, favorable pass leverage). That declaration is the whole point of the set.
The play list is stacked with peek reads: RPO Peek Slant (listed twice for both strength calls), RPO Zone Peek, RPO Power Peek, RPO Read X Smoke, Mtn RPO Buck Peek Slant, and Mtn RPO Alert Bubble. Each one gives you a run blocked up front with a quick throw layered on top, and because the back is offset weak you can pull the ball and work the strong side flat or slant where the flexed tight end has already occupied a defender. Read Option, Inside Zone, Inside Zone Split, HB Power, and Smash Drive round out the ground package so the run game is not just window dressing on the RPO shell.
The pass game leans on play-action and vertical stress rather than five-man protection dropbacks. Four Verticals, Four Verticals KO, PA Verts Comeback, PA Dagger, Posts, Seams Z-Under, and Hitch Corners all attack single high and Cover 2 seams, while PA Jailbreak Screen, HB Slip Screen, Mtn PA Fk Screen Scissors, Redzone HB Scissors, and Slant Stick punish aggressive edge pressure and heavy user blitzing. The matchup edge comes from the flexed tight end: if the defense keeps a linebacker on him you are running Seams or Posts into a mismatch, and if they walk a safety or nickel out to cover him you have lightened the box for Power and Read Option.
Read the box before the snap: five or fewer in the box with the nickel outside on your flexed tight end means hand it off on Inside Zone or HB Power, six or more means pull and throw the peek slant or smoke.
Use RPO Peek Slant and RPO Read X Smoke on second and short to bait aggressive users into jumping the run, then hot route the flexed tight end vertical on the next snap and hit Seams Z-Under behind them.
Save PA Jailbreak Screen and HB Slip Screen for when your opponent starts showing double A gap or edge heat, since your run tendency out of this set makes them commit early.
Against single high man, go to Posts or PA Dagger and read the flexed tight end first: if a linebacker is on him you have a mismatch every time, and the play-action clears the hook defender out of the dig window.
In the red zone, Redzone HB Scissors and Mtn PA Fk Screen Scissors give you crossing releases that break man coverage inside the ten, and Hitch Corners is your answer to Cover 2 in the low red area.
