Man coverage with no extra flat defender is where this play thrives since the bubble receiver gets a clean release against a covering corner playing off leverage. Zone coverage with a hard box crash below the sticks turns this into an easy bubble pull for a schemed explosive gain. Usage Tips
Key the flat defender or slot corner before the snap to decide whether you plan to pull the bubble or trust the zone run.
If the defense shows a hard box with the overhang crashing down pre-snap, be ready to pull the bubble immediately at the snap for a numbers advantage on the perimeter.
