PA Posts is a play-action shot play out of Shotgun Doubles HB Wk in 11 personnel, designed to attack the seams and middle of the field off a run fake. The play sends both outside receivers on post routes that stress single-high safeties and split zone shells, while underneath options give you a check down against zone drops. This is primarily a man beater against Cover 1 and Cover 3, with the primary read progression starting at the post route that has the safety leaning away, then working down to the underneath crosser or flare if the safety stays true or the posts get walled off.

Defensive Reads

Identify single high safety pre-snap, since Cover 1 and Cover 3 leave the post routes with only one deep defender to cover two verticals.
