Pre-snap, identify if the offense is running four verticals or a deep in-cut concept and be ready to widen your deep safeties with a pre-snap shift if you see stacked receivers.
Use hot routes to send one of your slot corners on a hook/curl if you are worried about a shallow crosser sitting underneath the Mike linebacker's drop.
This play shines on early downs and in obvious pass situations where you expect the offense to test the deep middle, so pair it with Cover 4 Palms or Cover 3 Buzz Match to disguise your shell before the snap.
