Usage Tips

Use this play against aggressive defenses that crash hard on inside runs since the dive fake will hold linebackers just long enough to open the edge.

Pre-snap, check the box count on the left side, if the defense is showing six or more in the box you want to keep the ball outside and pull to the pitch man.

Hot route the pitch back's release if you see man coverage sitting on him presnap, sliding him wider gives more room to turn the corner.

Run this after establishing Inside Zone Lt or HB Off Tackle so linebackers are conditioned to fill inside gaps, making the option keep hit harder later in a series.

Best called on early downs or short yardage since the multiple ball carrier options create conflict for defenders without needing verticals downfield.

Avoid calling this into disciplined scrape exchange defenses that keep a defender assigned to each phase of the option.
