PA Deep In from Pistol Trips shows a play-action fake to the HB, holding the defense with run action before the QB works the pass concept. The backside X runs a deep in that crosses the field, the inside slot from the trips side runs a vertical seam, and the outside trips receiver runs a deep out breaking toward the sideline while the middle trips receiver runs a shallow drag underneath. Use this on early downs like first or second and medium when defenses are more likely to bite on the run fake out of Pistol personnel

If you see single high safety pre snap, prioritize the deep in since it will have room to work behind linebackers who bite on the fake

Hot route the shallow drag into a deeper option like a dig if you are facing zone heavy defenses that sit underneath routes

Pair this with HB Dive or HB Zone Wk earlier in a series so the defense respects the run fake, then call PA Deep In to punish overaggressive run fits
