60 Go out of Singleback Spread 10 personnel sends both outside receivers vertically up the field on Go routes to stretch the cornerbacks deep, while the slot receiver runs a seam route straight up the middle to occupy the safety and linebackers. The HB stays in to help protect, keeping five in the pass pro against the rush. This is a pure vertical shot play designed to beat man coverage on the outside, with the primary read progression going boundary Go first, then to the seam route if the safety bites on the outside routes, and the field Go route as the deep shot if it wins on an island.
This play struggles against two high safety shells like Cover 2 or Cover 4 since the deep safeties can bracket the outside Go routes and take away the shot. Watch for user controlled safeties who bail deep at the snap, if the CPU or user defender is sinking under the Go route before the ball is thrown, abort and check down to the seam or HB. Man coverage with no deep help is the ideal matchup, since both Go routes create a true one on one with no zone defender sitting in the throwing lane. Zone blitzes and nano blitzes off the edge are dangerous here because the five man protection has no extra blocker, so identify pre-snap blitz indicators like walked up linebackers or safeties creeping into the box. If the seam receiver is getting jumped by an underneath linebacker who is reading the quarterback's eyes, that indicates zone coverage with a lurking defender, so trust the outside Go routes over the seam in that situation.
Check pre-snap for single high safety looks like Cover 1 or Cover 3, since this play is built to attack man coverage on the outside with no help over the top.
Look at cornerback press alignment before the snap, if you see press man with no safety help rotating over, take the shot on the boundary Go route immediately.
Use this play on early downs like 1st and 10 or 2nd and short so an incompletion does not hurt your down and distance, since it is a low percentage boost play.
Hot route the HB out of protection into a flat route if you are getting blitzed heavily, giving yourself a checkdown against Cover 0 or man blitz looks.
Pair this with Curl Flats or Slants Middle earlier in a drive to bait the safety into sitting shallow, then come back to 60 Go once you have shown quick game to set up the deep shot.
