Usage Tips
Use this play on early downs like 1st and 10 or 2nd and short to keep defenses honest and set up your PA Sprint HB Flat and PA Shot Post shots later in the drive.
Before the snap, check linebacker depth and box count. If the defense has stacked the box with 7 or more defenders, consider audibling to Jet Sweep or HB Stretch to attack the perimeter instead.
Trust your fullback's block and stay patient behind him rather than juking immediately, since early cuts against a stacked front usually get you dropped for a loss.
Against man coverage looks with linebackers crashing downhill, hot route the fullback to adjust his aiming point if you see a hard blitz coming from the play side.
Mix this play with PA Spot or Zone Fake Jet from the same Slot Close set so the defense has to respect both the dive action and the play-action pass off identical pre-snap alignment.
