Defenses that stay disciplined with a spy or scrape exchange on the screen side, or bring extra numbers to the perimeter, can shut this down by forcing you into the run with no numbers advantage on the edge.

Usage Tips

Use your pre-snap alert key on the flow defender closest to the screen side before the snap to decide run or throw. If the defense shows a heavy box with the alley defender crashing hard on run action, pull it and get the ball out quick to the X screen. Against light boxes or defenses that stay home in coverage, trust the run action and let the line work its track. This play pairs well with HB Dive and HB Zone Wk in the same set since all three sell inside run action and force linebackers to respect the run fit before reacting to the screen. Best called on early downs (1st and 10, 2nd and short) when you want a low risk gain and want to bait aggressive run fits into a numbers advantage on the perimeter. Mix in PA Slide or PA Boot Slide from the same formation to keep the defense honest on run action reads throughout a series.
