Hot route the play side TE to a chip or seal block if you see a heavy edge rusher aligned wide, and consider motioning a receiver across to check the defensive numbers before the snap. Pair this with Inside Zone and Bounce Inside Zone from the same set to keep linebackers guessing on flow direction, and mix in RPO Read Bubble or RPO Pin Alert Bubble on early downs so the defense has to respect both the zone run action and the perimeter throw. This play works best on first and second down in normal run support looks, and it loses value in short yardage against stacked eight man fronts.
